Job summary
I am delighted to offer the exciting opportunity of the post of Shuttle bus driver with Calderdale and Huddersfield Solutions Ltd (CHS).
We are looking for candidates to operate our park and ride service during an exciting period of reconfiguration at our Calderdale Royal Hospital site,
The hours will be Monday to Friday covering an operating time from 6AM and late into the evening,
The successful post holders must hold a category D or D1 entitlement without code 101 on their Driving license
Main duties of the job
The Main duties will be transporting our staff from various park and ride sites to Calderdale Royal Hospital.
Cleaning and general upkeep of the vehicles.
Daily walkaround checks and defect reporting
Deliver excellent customer service skills.
About us
All staff new to Calderdale and Huddersfield Solutions are required to undergo a 6 month probationary period (with the exception of staff on temporary or fixed term contracts for 6 months or less who are subject to separate arrangements).
Pension
NEST (stat contributions): currently 3% employer and 5% employee however.
CHS will increase its contribution should the employer make a greater contribution i.e. for each 1% increase the employer makes, CHS will make an additional 1% contribution up to a maximum of 6%.
2 year's salary death in service payment regardless of whether in pension scheme
Sickness
No pay for first the first working day of absence. During the first year of service: statutory sickness payment only.
More than 1 year and up to 2 years of service: 4 weeks full pay + 4 weeks half pay.
Over 2 years: 6 weeks full pay + 6 weeks half pay.
Over 5 Years: 10 weeks full pay + 10 weeks half pay.
Maternity
Full pay - 8 weeks (2 months)
Half pay -18 weeks (4 months) +SMP then:
SMP only - 13 weeks (3 months)
Annual Leave
28 days standard (i.e. 20 days plus 8 public holidays) Pro-rata
