Job summary
The post holder will be aligned to a portfolio of directorates/CSUs where they will be responsible for strong positive and productive relationship management to engage and influence in relation to project planning, prioritisation and contract management. They will also manage high value collaborative procurements.
To be responsible for strategic sourcing and high value procurement projects including, but not limited to, drafting tender documentation, contract documentation and contract management. The use of appropriate methods to evaluate tender submissions to ensure value for money is achieved. To be fully conversant with the University Hospital Tees (UHT) and North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions LLP standing financial instructions (SFI's).
Main duties of the job
To provide specialist procurement advice to those working within specific projects in relation to establishing and maintaining appropriate levels of service.
To be responsible for managing the full end-to-end complex and high value procurement projects including, but not limited to, drafting tender documentation, contract documentation and the raising of purchase orders. The use of appropriate methods to evaluate tender submissions to ensure value for money is achieved. To be fully conversant with the Trust and North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions LLP/external Client SFI's. The post holder will be fully conversant with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures (e.g. PCR 2015) pertaining to public procurement.
The post holder will be responsible for the supervision of a team to include appraisals, recruitment selection, sickness/disciplinary management, training and work allocation.
Additionally the post holder will be responsible for informing and influencing both procurement staff and stakeholders on the status/priority of category work plans.

Develop and promote effective working relationships with Clients and team members including regular attendance at Key Stakeholder meetings.
Analyses complex information from a variety of sources to identify areas for improvement and to assess projects and their outcomes. To include the monthly provision of KPIs.
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of catalogues to ensure data accuracy.
