Job summary

The post has 8 Programmed Activities; 8 for direct patient care and 2 for supporting activities. A final timetable will be confirmed with the successful candidate on appointment and reviewed after an appropriate period in line with the Trusts job planning policy. The post will be based within the Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford sexual health services.

We are seeking to recruit a Consultant with specialist skills in integrated sexual health and HIV medicine (including leading outpatient HIV clinics, management of sexually transmitted infections & contraception). Strong team-working skills and a keen interest in training, education and service development are essential.

Main duties of the job

The Consultant will independently deliver walk-in and appointment clinics in integrated sexual health and HIV medicine.

The post-holder will be required to play a leadership role within the sexual health teams. There will be a significant commitment to teaching and supervision of junior medical and nursing staff.

Active contribution to MDTs, audit and clinical governance will also be expected.
