Job summary
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Staffordshire Treatment and Recovery System (STaRS) Team as a Registered Consultant Psychiatrist. STaRS is part of our Inclusion Services based in Stafford.
You will provide clinical leadership to the Staffordshire Service in supporting a holistic approach to drug and alcohol treatment, contribute to the development of policies and procedures and programme of continuous improvement, research and evaluation within the service and take the lead on developing and managing a trainee rotational program.
You will undertake specialist prescribing and medical assessment/ treatment for service users attending a community drug and alcohol treatment service, including titration, stabilisation, detoxification and review.
The role is part-time. 4 sessions, 16 hours per week. Flexibility will be considered.
Main duties of the job
As Consultant Psychiatrist you will be responsible for implementing and coordinating complex packages of care appropriate to the individuals need and work alongside the multi-disciplinary team to address service users' wider care needs
As part of this role, you will:
- Provide clinical supervision to the other medics, clinic lead and other prescribers as required
- Provide specialist prescribing to individuals who present at the community drug and alcohol treatment service.
- Provide medical advice and guidance on complex cases to staff within Inclusion and attend prescribing forums.
- Take an active role in Inclusion research and innovation opportunitie
- Ensure the service is compliant with CQC standards
