Job summary

Looking to broaden your skillset and professional development? Then joining the No Wrong Door, Co-occurring Conditions Team is perfect for you. We will support you to further develop with the aim to become an experienced Recovery Worker over a 12-18 month period. You will be expected to work with a caseload of substance use clients from the beginning, with the aim to expand this as the role progresses.

The disconnect between services for people with co-occurring conditions of mental ill-health and substance use has long been recognised as a barrier to the effective treatment of patients in the community. Significant funding has now been allocated to make this a thing of the past

Main duties of the job

Development Recovery Worker role with the resources to support you to become experienced Recovery Workers.

The post will be located in North and Mid Hampshire with possible bases of Winchester and Andover.

By working with our partners in Community Mental Health services and Primary Care Networks, we aim to deliver truly person-centred care to those experiencing co-occurring conditions

Essential

  • Level 3 NVQ or Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent in a related field which may include counselling, social work, nursing, psychology, human resources, social studies Or Equivalent experience

Desirable

  • Relevant training / Qualification in associated field, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Brief solution focussed therapy, Mapping techniques (ITEP/BTEI)

Experience

  • A commitment to recovery based interventions and harm reduction approaches for substance misuse and mental health conditions.
