Our Integrated Mental Health and Substance Misuse Service at HMP YOI Swinfen Hall is looking for a passionate, dynamic and experienced qualified Mental Health Professional to work within its ever changing prison environment providing excellent quality leadership. The team is innovative and forward thinking, committed to a Recovery focused approach. It works with people from initial assessment through to discharge, which can include transferring care to other providers such as hospitals or CMHTs whilst working with a variety of agencies in the Offender Health Pathway. Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the management and leadership of the team. With a small clinical caseload, you will offer assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidenced based interventions. The team manages a caseload of patients, practicing within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team and Care Programme Approach. An excellent working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and its application to people who require transfer to hospital will be required. The post holder will benefit from the experience and support of our Senior Cluster Managers and that of its NHS employer. Inclusion (part of Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust) has prison substance misuse and mental health teams across the country and you will benefit from training and development opportunities as well as the support of an NHS employer experienced in providing prison healthcare for many years.
