Job summary

Working in Buckinghamshire countywide drug and alcohol integrated service (One Recovery Bucks) you will have responsibility for ensuring the seamless continuity of care for those leaving prison.

Main duties of the job

  • Ensuring the engagement of offenders with substance misuse issues into treatment on release from custody.
  • Completing relevant assessments and referring to One Recovery Bucks to ensure continuity of care.
  • Arranging bridging prescriptions and that medication is continued in the community on release from custody.
  • Working in partnership with key agencies to ensure service users are supported on their individual recovery journeys and those entering treatment remain in treatment when released.
  • Delivering all elements of One Recovery Bucks including managing a case load.

Job responsibilities

  • To work within a multi-disciplinary team, in a community & custodial environment delivering a high standard drug and alcohol recovery service in response to the needs of the service users as part of Inclusion and Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation trust.
  • To provide a link between prison and the Community Services and deliver a range of psycho-social interventions appropriate to the individual to motivate engagement and promote remaining in treatment on release, supporting service users to achieve recovery and positive outcomes, improve health & well-being and reduce re-offending.
  • To work in collaboration with clinical prescribing services in custody and in the community to ensure bridging prescriptions are arranged and that the needs of each service user is met when being released from custody
  • To contribute and work towards the key objectives of the One Recovery Buckinghamshire.
