The role is within our Inclusion Visions Thurrock service, the drug and alcohol treatment and support service for adults impacted by their own or someone else's use of alcohol or drugs.

This is an receptionist role with a distinction, you are an important part of our team, making a difference every day!

Main duties of the job

We are currently recruiting for a Band 2 Receptionist. There is some weekend and evening working involved, but this is on a rotational basis.

  • Provide a friendly and helpful receptionist area including meeting, greeting and directing people to the appropriate person.
  • Provide secretarial support in conjunction with team administrators.
  • Preserve and uphold the confidentiality of all service user information.
  • Maintain filing systems.
  • Be responsible for receiving incoming post and deal with any items where appropriate. Bring to the attention of team members any items relevant/appropriate for them to see/action.
  • Provide callers, G.Ps, other professionals, staff relatives, drug users and other agencies with resources i.e. educational information and self-help materials.
  • Support the administrator in the monitoring of stock and re-ordering as appropriate.
  • Deputise and provide administration duty cover at meetings if appropriate.
