BEHAVIOURAL FAMILY THERAPIST / TRAINEE
Qualified BFT or suitable skilled, motivated and enthusiastic trainee
We are looking for suitably qualified and skilled candidates who have experience working as a BFT and are now looking to expand their knowledge and expertise in a very highly skilled, multi provider At Risk Mental States (ARMS) service in Essex.
Alternatively, you may be someone with similar requisite skills in an allied setting but would relish the challenges presented in a trainee post which would guide you through training to become a qualified BFT .
Either way, you would be joining a highly professional team who are dedicated to providing the best possible service to our communities whilst supporting positive staff wellbeing and ongoing career development.
Main duties of the job
The key role of the post is to provide effective brief family interventions and carer education (assessment, delivery & evaluation) to families/carers of service users open to the ARMS service according to the code of practice and performance standards as required.
- The post-holder will work within the At Risk Mental State (ARMS) service providing Brief Behavioural Family Therapy (BFT) interventions and carer education using a range of evidence-based group and individual interventions to families and carers of clients.
- Working with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages and should be committed to equal opportunities.
- The post holder will work as part of the ARMS multi-disciplinary team contributing to assessments and reviews of service users and their families/ carers
- You will be responsible for working collaboratively with other Trust services to provide seamless care for service users and carers on defined care-pathways
- The post-holder is responsible for working in partnership with agencies external to the Trust supporting service users and carers to access services in the independent and non-statutory sector.
