Job summary
Inclusion Isle of Wight (Substance Misuse Team) have a rare opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Leader with current UK professional registration to step in to the role of Clinical Lead; directing alcohol and drug misuse clinical pathways. Experience in co-ordinating all aspects of SMS clinical delivery including detox and tackling health inequalities is vital, but importantly we are looking for a leader to drive forward evidence-based change and continuous professional and practice development.

Main duties of the job
- To line manage Clinical Staff
- To provide clinical supervision and support to Non-Medical prescribers (NMP) and Nurses in specialist clinical roles
- To develop the role of the NMP and work with the Trust and Inclusion's clinical manager in increasing NMP numbers.
- Responsible and accountable for clinical governance throughout Inclusion IOW, to ensure that clinical governance systems are robust and continuously reviewed and to feedback to the Trust Clinical Governance committee when needed.
- To carry out regular audits related to clinical activity such as prescribing and health screening
- To contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures; to ensure the dissemination of new standards, policies and statutory requirements relating to this area of work.
- To produce reports in line with NDTMS and our SLA targets set by commissioners. To be responsible for ensuring staff is on track to meet clinical targets.
- To attend meeting with the commissioners
- To report to and attend meetings as required.
- To support contract delivery between Inclusion and its partners to ensure service delivery to operational and budgetary standards are maintained.
- Budget management, to work alongside the service manager in managing the county wide budget in relation to clinical activity and treatment.
- To coordinate, track and record the preparation and submission of all reports and investigations relating to incidents and accidents both internally and to appropriate external agencies.
