Transport Supervisor

Job summary

To support the Transport Management team in all aspects of the transport operation.Within the department.To provide a high-quality, cost-effective transportation service in line with QE Facilities requirements in a manner thatconforms with all legal legislation and company policies, at the same time ensuring that all department requirementsare taken into consideration without being detrimental to the overall network requirements.The Transport Supervisor will be required to cover for driver's holidays, absence etc

Main duties of the job

To ensure all deliveries and collections are made on time and in compliance with current procedures.To ensure all assets are recorded in line with laid down procedure.To ensure all companies resources are available on time and all delays are reported.To monitor performance of all staff and prepare reports as per company policy.To carry out regular meeting with staff to ensure flow off communication.To assist in the recruitment of drivers within the agreed establishment levels.To ensure all driving and related staff comply with the legal requirements.To ensure that all vehicles are maintained in line with current operator licence and companyrequirements.To monitor and carry out performance reviews with subcontractors.To encourage and assist in the development of each member of staff.To ensure all staff comply with company Health and Safety policy.

We provide a range of non- clinical services to GHNT and other NHS organisations. Our services include: estates, facilities services, procurement, medical engineering and devices, endoscopy decontamination and sterile services, transport, out-patient pharmacy, and prevention & management of violence & aggression training (PMVA).

In addition we provide consultancy services, advising clients on all aspects of establishing a subsidiary company within an NHS body to the provision of VAT compliance advice.
