Job summary

To lead and be responsible for the provision of an expert financial management service to thebusiness. To lead and be responsible for the monthly reporting for the nominated areas, including the production of highquality information, cost and income analysis, forecasting and the presentation of this information. To support theHeads of Service & Service Managers in the discharge of their financial responsibilities; including maintaining a balancedbudgetary position, development and reporting of the cost improvement programme (CIP) and the financial modellingof service developments. To contribute to the development and implementation of the Company's medium to long termfinancial strategy.

Main duties of the job

o Record financial transactions for project, department, or companyo Prepare financial statements for internal and external useo Reconcile spending with budget as part of job costingo Analyse financial performance and forecast longer term horizonso Recommend methods and strategies for cutting costo Maintain records and support auditing effortso Advise company and/or department management on financial decisionso Make upper-level strategy recommendations based on financialso Advising managers about the financial implications of business decisions to aid growth and profit.o Preparing reports, budgets, commentaries and financial statementso Liaising with managerial staff and other colleagueso Lead with the preparation of the year end company accounts and provide appropriate working paperso Carrying out financial performance meetings with company divisional managerso Developing and managing financial systems / policies in relation to management accountingo Interrogate payroll costs and setting up cost centre structures for pay - communicating to payroll and HR colleagues.o Creating bespoke ledger reports to produce for colleagueso Manage chart of accounts for the companyo Provide specific coding adviceo Provide management reporting for decision-making, including project appraisal, evaluation and post implementationanalysiso Provide key information and communication with the Finance Director, Deputy FD and other senior company staff.

About us

QE Facilities (QEF) is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust (GHNT), based in the North East of England.

We provide a range of non- clinical services to GHNT and other NHS organisations. Our services include: estates, facilities services, procurement, medical engineering and devices, endoscopy decontamination and sterile services, transport, out-patient pharmacy, and prevention & management of violence & aggression training (PMVA).

In addition we provide consultancy services, advising clients on all aspects of establishing a subsidiary company within an NHS body to the provision of VAT compliance advice.

QE Facilities work to their own Terms and Conditions and these are not the same as Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust Terms and Conditions. This is not an Agenda for Change Pay Rate.
