Job summary

To support the team in scheduling reviews and client meetings, obtain data from clients and prepare the data for the team ahead of the on-site reviews. Once the reviews are complete, undertake work to resolve any queries by contacting suppliers, recording their responses and discussing with the team. Prepare VAT reports from the templates provided.

Main duties of the job

Schedule client meetings and appointments for project managers

Discuss and agree the scope of VAT compliance work with project managers

Agree plans for each client to regularly request and obtain relevant data in the correct format

Prepare the client data to be ready for the project managers to complete the reviews

Liaise with the project managers on the status of the projects

Help gather and retain all relevant supporting evidence for VAT claims

Contact clients and suppliers to resolve VAT queries, and then discuss with the project managers

Produce VAT reports using templates provided

Raise client invoices and record on the business schedule

Chase outstanding debts

Update the status of scheduled and completed projects on the business schedule

Manage and administer the client files and folders on the network

Produce Engagement letters and quotations using templates provided

Assist the team with its business development objectives to undertake research and identify targets

Contact target clients and maintain schedules detailing the outcomes

Research and identify when target client VAT contracts are due to end and go out to tender

Support project managers with technical helpline queries to research and draft responses

Develop technical knowledge by reading relevant NHS VAT legislation

QE Facilities (QEF) is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust (GHNT), based in the North East of England.

We provide a range of non- clinical services to GHNT and other NHS organisations. Our services include: estates, facilities services, procurement, medical engineering and devices, endoscopy decontamination and sterile services, transport, out-patient pharmacy, and prevention & management of violence & aggression training (PMVA).

In addition we provide consultancy services, advising clients on all aspects of establishing a subsidiary company within an NHS body to the provision of VAT compliance advice.

QE Facilities work to their own Terms and Conditions and these are not the same as Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust Terms and Conditions. This is not an Agenda for Change Pay Rate.

We do not hold a sponsorship licence and are unable to offer employment under any sponsorship arrangement.
