Job summary
Managerially, professionally, and technically responsible for agreement of and delivery of Capital programmes / projects, including design, procurement and delivery. This role will also provide a lead on the delivery of in house delivered minor works projects.
As QEF's professional lead on Project Management and Capital Delivery you will be responsible for the provision of specialised advice on capital & small works to the client and to Board level within QE Facilities. You will assist the Director of Strategy and Delivery in the development and implementation of policy, business planning and service development as they pertain to Capital Project Management and take the lead in the preparation of Estates Strategy and Site Development Plans.
Main duties of the job
Management of the Estate Design team to provide a comprehensive design, project management and property service to Clients / Trusts.
Lead on the formulation of long-term development plans for client organisations / NHS Trust premises to enable the delivery of the Client / Trust strategic objectives that impact across the organisation and external agencies.
Lead in the preparation and development of Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust's Estates Strategy in response to their service strategies.
Manages and directs the delivery of QEF's Capital works in accordance with the agreed timescales and budgets.
Contribute to maintenance and management of property databases including estates information and records.
Actively participate in the development of Business Cases and provide Estates advice to ensure that any bid for funding accurately reflects the user requirements, operational policy and financial implications. This includes working with all QEF's clients and also advising and liaising with other interested parties.

In addition we provide consultancy services, advising clients on all aspects of establishing a subsidiary company within an NHS body to the provision of VAT compliance advice.
