Job summary
QEF are looking for a painter and decorator to carry out works to a high standard in the implementation of the painting and decorating programme and day to day maintenance of the QE Hospital.
Main duties of the job
Carry out redecoration and maintenance work to a high standard.? Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings and specifications appropriate to the craft, without supervision.- Actively participate in the operation of QE Facilities helpdesk, including the timely completion of work dockets via a PDA (hand held computer).which will include job sheets with Tradesman's report, time taken and materials used for costing purposes.-Carry out paperhanging and applying associated covering materials-Carry out plaster patching- Carry out dry lining works- Erecting and dismantling modular scaffolding to carry out work- Application of new products, with relevant training- To take off quantities of materials for painting projects

QE Facilities (QEF) is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust (GHNT), based in the North East of England.
We provide a range of non- clinical services to GHNT and other NHS organisations. Our services include: estates, facilities services, procurement, medical engineering and devices, endoscopy decontamination and sterile services, transport, out-patient pharmacy, and prevention & management of violence & aggression training (PMVA).
In addition we provide consultancy services, advising clients on all aspects of establishing a subsidiary company within an NHS body to the provision of VAT compliance advice.
QE Facilities work to their own Terms and Conditions and these are not the same as Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust Terms and Conditions. This is not an Agenda for Change Pay Rate.
