Job summary

Our ICT Service Operations team are seeking to recruit an ICT Asset Administrator. The successful candidate will be a passionate and dedicated individual who will assist the logistics team to oversee the ICT asset management solution.

Main duties of the job

  • Survey Innovates estate and maintain accurate records of all ICT assets in the master database (CMDB).
  • Independently manage workload, adapt to changing priorities, and respond promptly to queries and urgent requests.
  • Support ICT Logistics with stock control, reporting, and replenishment to maintain inventory levels.
  • Coordinate disposal of redundant ICT equipment in line with WEEE regulations, ensuring secure data destruction.
  • Act as a central contact for ICT asset matters, handling communications and documentation with stakeholders.

Job responsibilities

The ICT Asset Administrators' primary role is to survey Innovates estate and ensure that all the organisations assets are recorded and managed in the master asset database (CMDB)

The IT Asset administrators will also assist the IT logistics team when required with physical stock control, stock reporting and provision of replenishment services ensuring stock levels are maintained.

The role involves acting as a central point of contact within the ICT Logistics division for all ICT-related assets and general administrative duties.

Communicating through appropriate methods with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsible for the coordination, disposal and recording of redundant ICT equipment in line with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations.

Ensure any IT assets that may contain personal and/or sensitive information have either the hard drive destroyed, prior to disposal or the asset itself destroyed.

Assist to develop and maintain supporting documentation for IT asset management services as defined in the Service Catalogue.

Manage own workload to meet organisational needs, adapting to changing priorities and accommodating frequent interruptions due to queries and/or unexpected requests requiring immediate response.

Work independently within Trust and departmental guidelines to achieve agreed objectives, escalating issues when necessary.

Transporting equipment to other sites as necessary.
