Main duties of the job
UHS Estates Limited is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our growing team based in Eastleigh. This role will be a hands-on role supporting the team with their daily tasks.
The service (UHS Estates Ltd) supports the operating theatres, labs and other specialist units of a 24/7 acute teaching hospital. Providing major trauma and countless tertiary services across the South of England- ensuring that the correct theatre is available, with the correct equipment, the correct consumables and surgical instrumentation at the correct time.
This role will be key to ensuring the right products & equipment get to the right place at the right time. Allowing the clinical services to treat the patients efficiently and effectively.

Job responsibilities
This post holder will be there to supervise and steer the team based at our Warehouse in Eastleigh. The responsibilities of this role include but not limited to;
- The Supervisor is responsible for the Goods Inwards process, receipting, storage, consumable kit picking and onward delivery service to the relevant Hospital.
- Goods In: day-to-day responsibility for the Goods In team who; sign for deliveries, checks, for accuracy, packing, sorting and booking into our financial system (Oracle). Raising stock issues with suppliers directly and recording actions.
- Responsible for the day-to-day driving/delivery activity: UEL has its vehicle (3.5 tonnes) to transport items between the Warehouse and the relevant hospital. On arrival at the hospital, the items need to be safely handed over to the UEL team based there. Driving will not be a standard task for this role but may be required on an ad hoc basis. Oversight of vehicle checks and safe loading will be required.
- Warehouse: support the team with the increased Warehouse activity including picking (both bulk and consumable kits), accurate stock holding and cleanliness along with other general Warehouse activities.
Each day will vary, often switching between tasks throughout the day to meet the demands. Including recognising when others around you need support and being there to provide it. Being a new role, we will learn and adapt what we do each day to become as effective as we can. This isnt a role for someone who doesnt like daily changes in processes and tasks, particularly as we continue to grow. You will need to be reliable, be able to work under pressure and be able to motivate yourself and your team professionally.

Essential
- Moving and Handling
- Basic level experience of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
- General standard of education including GCSE in English and Maths.
- Diploma in Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations (CIPS)/NVQ3 in Business Administration, or similar plus in depth knowledge of Materials Management principles and process including stock control, ordering, invoicing and customer care skills to level 4 diploma equivalent.
Previous or relevant experience necessary
