Do you want to make a difference and work in a fast moving dynamic procurement team? We are looking for an enthusiastic hands on person to manage our Corporate Services category across both Barnsley Hospital and The Rotherham Hospital. Employed by Barnsley Facilities Services you will be responsible for developing workplans and delivering complex procurements across both Trusts whilst managing a small team of procurement professionals in both hospital teams.
We are looking for an experienced procurement professional who will foster excellent relationships with our stakeholders and manage a complex procurement workplan. You will provide procurement support and advice to Trust staff at both sites and at all levels and will revel in being a go to person for contracting, public procurement and SFI queries.
You will be an integral member of the team working across Business Units in order to develop strategic workplans in agreed categories of spend and to identify efficiencies and quality initiatives.
Main duties of the job
You will take ownership of the effective procurement and contracting of all Corporate Services (including IT) spend across both Barnsley Hospital and The Rotherham Hospital You will put in place collaborative workplans and strategies to ensure spend is properly contracted and is fit for purpose. Youll liaise with stakeholders and listen and act on any quality concerns. You will have excellent skills in change management, implementing new products as identified and approved nationally, regionally or locally.
You will be responsible, whilst adhering to relevant public procurement laws and SFIs, for the delivery of this complex workplan involving high value and often complex tenders for goods and services in order to drive competitive advantage across Barnsley Hospital NHSFT and The Rotherham NHSFT
You will make a significant contribution to savings targets as set by the Trusts and will monitor savings delivery and KPIs resulting from delivered contracts.
