Job summary
Barnsley Facilities Services (BFS) have vacancies for enthusiastic team players to work as Facilities Operatives, joining our Domestic Cleaning & Housekeeping Services within Barnsley Hospital.
Vacancy 1 24hrs p/w, varied shifts within the following hours 06:45-16:15 and 16:00-20:15.
Vacancy 2 14.5hrs p/w working 4 days over 7 on a 3 week rota. 16:30-19:45 (2days), 16:15-20:15 (2 days).
We are looking for individuals who are flexible, eager to learn and develop in fast moving and challenging area of our business, so whilst previous experience is desirable, it is not essential as full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job
As a Domestic Services Supervisor, you will:
Supervise and lead a team of Operatives in their duties to carry out all cleaning assigned, making full use of the guidance and training given, using all materials and consumables in accordance with agreed practices ensuring the economic use of resources.
To provide a high standard of cleaning services to the Trust and any other duties involved in and around the hospital environment.
Responsible for the day to day supervision and leadership of a team of Domestic Services Operatives in their duties to maintain the working environment in a clean, tidy and safe condition at all times.
To ensure a culture of strict confidentiality concerning patients and their visitors and to manage any such breach in line with relevant policies.
Supervise a team of operatives, ensuring that the right coverage at all times.
