Main duties of the job

Duties of a Facilities Supervisor include:

  • Responsible for the delivery of Catering Services, within agreed service standards.
  • To monitor daily workload of the Catering service using information provided by the software systems used within the service.
  • To Supervise and prioritise work and direct staff accordingly in accordance with all policies and procedures and to ensure optimum use of resources.
  • Supervise all aspects required for the delivery of a high quality Catering Services ensuring that all service staff are correctly trained to fulfil their role, and that the service is in line with customer needs
  • Liaise with service users including staff, patients and relatives, and resolve any service difficulties or extra work provision.
  • To carry out first line return to work meetings as per the Choice attendance management policy
  • Working closely with Facilities Management team, and the clinical site managers and on call teams out of hours, week-ends and normal office hours to prioritise operational requirements
  • To contribute to the on-going development and delivery of Catering Services

Shift Pattern:

40 hours per week, flexibility is a must. Staff work on a rota to ensure service needs are met. Normal working hours 0600 2000 across 7 days including bank holidays, however must be able to provide cover in line with service needs and as business dictates.

  • NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification or substantial experience in a support service role with the equivalent level of knowledge
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • A willingness to study for any qualifications deemed appropriate to the post * ILM Level 2/Advanced apprenticeship
  • Current driving licence
