As a Linen Service Operative you would be responsible for assisting in the provision of an integrated Linen Service and delivery system, providing quality linen and uniform services to Sunderland & South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust and commercial customers.

CHoICE Facilities Services provide a wide range of services including Domestic Services based over South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust sites.

Main duties of the job

Linen Service Operative duties include;

To sort, classify and account for all linen sent for processing.

To store articles and remove soiling in accordance with Department of Health and Control of Infection guidelines.

To undertake full training in all aspects of linen duties and all linen equipment and to participate in rotation.

To fold and pack linen ready for distribution.

To assist in linen deliveries to Sunderland Royal Hospital.

To maintain cleanliness of laundry trolleys

To follow work schedules to assist in the collection of used linen from wards, departments, and theatres.

To assist in the sealing of used linen into laundry bags

To ensure laundry trolleys are retained in correct location.

To follow work schedules to assist in the timely delivery of clean linen to wards and departments.

To operate any monitoring equipment as required to ensure efficient stock control.

To ensure linen distribution centre is maintained in a clean and safe state.

Sat-Sun 0700-1500

1x 15 Hrs Permanent Position
