As a Transport Supervisor you would be responsible for day-to-day supervision and coordination of the hospital transport service and helpdesk, ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient movement of patients, staff, and goods across all sites. The postholder will lead a team of drivers manage the administrative functions of the transport service and oversee the operation of the Transport Help Desk to ensure a responsive and customer-focused service

You will also have the opportunity to complete leadership and development training along with other training that is service specific. In this role, you will work with the Facilities supervisors and Operational Managers on specific projects and day to day service requirements.

Main duties of the job

  • Day to day management of Transport drivers and Helpdesk operators.
  • Working with the Transport Manager to provide efficient and effective Transport services to all wards and departments within the Trust/Choice operated sites and support the delivery of excellent patient care.
  • To supervise and prioritise work and direct staff accordingly to ensure optimum use of resources across all Trust/Choice sites.
  • To assist the Heads of Department & deputies in managing the duties and performance of the staff within Soft FM
  • Supervise all aspects required for the delivery of a high-quality Transport service, ensuring all transport staff are correctly trained to fulfil their role & the service is in line with customer needs

Shift Pattern

Working predominantly Monday to Friday, between 08.00 hours to 17.00 hours
