Job summary

The post is 40 hours per week, covering shifts Monday to Sunday 7.00am to 8.00pm.

Transport Services are seeking to recruit to the post of driver within the department. The postholder will be required to drive for the collection, transportation and delivery of staff, patients, equipment and other goods. This includes driving the staff shuttle service which runs between the 2 main hospital sites. You will also be expected to carry out daily checks and maintenance of the vehicles in your care, as well as work on transport helpdesk to cover absence.

The post holder will need to hold a full UK Driving Licence 4.You must also hold a C1 and D1 licence and driver qualification Card (CPC) or be willing to undertake these once employed. You will also be required to have basic computer/keyboard skills and a knowledge of software systems. You must be flexible in the hours you can

You must hold a full uk driving licence and be willing to gain a C1 and D1 licence once employed.You must also have and a driver qualification card (CPC) or willing to undertake this once employed.

You will be required to undertake manual handling tasks as well as have the ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.
