If so we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Dashboard and Warehouse Developer to join our friendly and supportive Data and Analytics team within Health Education and Improvement Wales. We are a growing team with a wide remit providing analytical support both internally and externally across NHS Wales. Our mission is to empower NHS Wales to make better data driven decisions.

The postholder will be responsible for the technical development of Business Intelligence tools and reporting solutions. This will involve utilising all available technologies, for example, Power BI, Dax and MS SQL technologies to support seamless access to a wide range of informatics resources and reports via the Information Portal. The post holder will be required to work closely with stakeholders to scope, design and create content that answers key business questions and provide evidenced based business intelligence solutions using a single version of the truth data platform.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be responsible for the development and delivery of HEIW Data Warehouse solution that will be the foundation for delivering operational insights for users within Health Education Improvement Wales and other stakeholders.

The post holder will work closely with the HEIW Analytics team and product owners to develop solutions for providing data from the data warehouse for dashboards which answer Key Business Questions and enable data driven decision making.

You will also be responsible for creating business intelligence solutions in accordance with standard operating procedures ensuring data standards and data quality elements as well as ongoing maintenance and review points lead to usable quality products.

You will need to have experience working within an information environment, interpreting highly complex informatics concepts alongside practical knowledge of Data Warehousing, Relational Databases, and information systems, alongside advanced IT and analytical and statistical skills and experience with knowledge of IT tools such as, MS SQL, SSIS, Power BI, DAX. Knowledge of working Python, R and APIs would also be desirable although not essential.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
