Job summary

We are thrilled to announce an exciting one year secondment (until 31/03/2025) opportunity for a skilled professional to lead the next phase of our Strategic Review of Health Professional Education

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee all aspects of the Strategic Review of education Phase 2, ensuring its successful implementation.

Support the management of the Health Professional Post-Registration Commissioning and Quality Management areas of work.

Collaborate with key stakeholders, including educators, healthcare professionals, and industry experts to gather insights and input.

Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring milestones are achieved within scope.

Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Facilitate effective communication channels between various project stakeholders.

Analyse data and present findings to inform decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in healthcare or education-related projects.

Strong understanding of health professional education and industry trends.

Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

Main duties of the job

  • Ensure effective arrangements are in place for the delivery of workforce modernisation programmes across primary, community and secondary care in support of A Healthier Wales, NHS Wales National Programmes, Welsh Government priorities, Duty of Quality, NHS Wales in 10+ years .
  • Manage a complex set of stakeholder relationships required to deliver changes across education, service, government and private/industry sectors, this will include working with clinicians, director-level managers and private organisations.
  • To be a visible leader facilitating and engaging staff and clinicians to contribute to the overall strategic direction of workforce and education improvement/ transformation.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
