Job summary
The opportunity has arisen for a permanent full-time position with the Leadership and Succession Team at Health Education & Improvement Wales.

To meet the ambitions laid out by 'A Healthier Wales' (2018) and enable delivery of the 'Workforce Strategy for Health and Social Care' (2020) the Leadership and Succession Team are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Talent and Leadership Development Manager. This post will be responsible for a number of portfolios aligned to established and emerging priorities outlined within HEIW's Integrated Medium Term Plan.
The successful candidate will role model inclusive behaviours and collaborate with the team and stakeholders across NHS Wales in the design, delivery and evaluation of national leadership development interventions for executive and senior leaders. Key responsibilities will include programme management, recruitment, co-ordination, commissioning, and delivery of leadership development; with a focus on clinical leadership and aspiring executive development. The role also provides the opportunity to support the national succession planning and talent management process and facilitate delivery of national Executive Development Centres.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will role model inclusive approaches and work closely with members of the Leadership and Succession Team in the design, delivery and evaluation of national leadership development interventions for executive and senior leaders. Key responsibilities will include recruitment, co-ordination and delivery of ongoing development programmes for Aspiring Executive and Senior Clinical Leaders. The post holder will support the national Executive Succession Planning and Talent Management Process, leading on co-ordination and management of executive development centres.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
