Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative and growing team within the Future Workforce. We are looking for a Senior Project Support Officer who will assist with project managing specific areas of work and undertaking senior administration functions for the Head of Future Workforce and the wider team within HEIW. This role is fixed term or secondment up to April 2024 in the first instance.

You will support the delivery of several innovative projects and programmes of work, including the hugely successful Careersville and the NHS Wales Careers website, to develop knowledge and understanding of careers and training opportunities available across NHS Wales. This will include widening access, other routes into education, training, and supporting pathways to registered status schemes.

NHS Wales staff seeking a secondment must gain their manager's support prior to application. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to ensure that the portfolio of tasks and projects are planned, managed, and delivered effectively to meet, and exceed where possible, the complex business needs of HEIW.

The post holder will support robust communication and stakeholder management, engaging with a wide ranging and diverse group of individuals and organisations across NHS Wales and other partner organisations, producing work to deadlines whilst ensuring compliance with HEIW policies and procedures.

The post holder will be expected to work independently, using their own initiative to manage their own portfolio of work, working within defined policies and procedures.

This post is fixed term for 7 months to meet the needs of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
