Job summary
NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership has an exciting opportunity in our Accounts Payable Department. We are looking for a Data Entry Accounts Payable Officer who is enthusiastic, organised and efficient and wants to progress within our current Data Entry Team, The post holder will be required to take responsibility for dealing with the more complex queries and will support the Team Leaders with training and provide cover for a wide range of duties when required. We are currently working in line with the COVID-19 legislation and guidelines and have implemented home-working and safe onsite working regulations throughout the organisation. We are also looking at how we balance flexibility with community, and how we manage opportunities to learn from each other. The Accounts Payable Team promotes flexible working and encourages staff to work from home.
Main duties of the job
The role of the Data Entry Accounts Payable Officer is to be the first point of contact for Data Entry enquiries from NWSSP customers including Health Board staff, external organisations, partners, stakeholders and suppliers. They will support the Team Leader to monitor team key performance indicators, audit team compliance, and help to create and maintain Standard Working Instructions. They will provide training to other teams within Accounts Payable including fellow team members. They will be responsible for the accurate and timely completion of daily Bacs and Cheque payment runs. They will be involved in the testing of new patch releases in oracle and other ad hoc tasks. They will assist in the reconciliation of the more complex queries that need either correction or further actioning to a Team Leader. They will be responsible for the management of the generic box for processing manual invoices and streamlining this where appropriate.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
