Job summary
The successful candidate will work as a member of a very busy team within the Receipt and Distribution (R&D) Stores involved with the receipting, picking, packing, and delivering of stock items to the Hospital Wards and Departments. The candidate will be heavily involved within the whole stock process from ordering to put away to assist clinical staff at Glangwili Hospital. This will include the use of a barcode scanners as well as delivering stock to Wards and putting the stock away within its specific location. Other duties include receiving in-bound deliveries, assisting in stock takes, and general manual handling stores duties.
The post will involve coverage over a large area around the hospital and it will involve a lot of walking.
Main duties of the job
Exchange information both internally and externally with staff, suppliers, and couriers regarding deliveries into the R&D. This will include liaising with couriers regarding delivery issues to the R&D e.g. issues regarding damaged goods or delivery mistakes. The candidate will also be responsible for receipting all applicable goods via the Oracle FMS system.
Ensure correct rotation and storage of goods (where applicable) within the Wards/Departments and R&D Stores. Assist in stocktaking when requested by site management.
Carry out day to day cleaning and general care of all stores equipment in line with cleaning rota.
To liaise with hospital personnel at R&D Stores/delivery points and ensure all documentation is signed and completed as appropriate. Providing and receiving routine information orally and/or in writing, to inform End Customers and work colleagues.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
