Job summary
The successful candidate will work as a member of a very busy team involved with the picking and packing of stock items for multiple health boards
Picking & Packing of Goods
To ensure accurate selection of items as directed by the Warehouse Management system.
To maintain a high standard of packing goods to ensure a safe and orderly delivery to Customers.
To ensure all boxes / pallets are clearly and precisely labelled with all relevant information.
To ensure all completed boxes / packages are placed on the designated pallets for distribution.
Main duties of the job
Exchange information both internally and externally with staff and suppliers regarding deliveries, including delivery times and damaged goods. "Book in" goods via the Oracle FMS system.
Ensure correct rotation and storage of goods (where applicable). Assist in stocktaking when requested.
Carry out day to day cleaning and general care of all store's equipment.
To liaise with hospital personnel at R/D/delivery points and ensure all documentation is signed and completed as appropriate. Providing and receiving routine information orally and/or in writing, to inform Customers and work colleagues.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
