Job summary
The post holder is responsible for providing Supervisory and Administrative Support within the Warehouse based in our Regional Warehouse At Newport.
The main responsibility is to oversee and supervise all data input of requests for stock via the Oracle Warehouse Management System [WMS] system whilst adhering to the Business' ISO/Quality framework.
- Receiving shipments:Receiving shipments, signing paperwork, and unloading packages from trucks
- Tracking shipments:Tracking shipments and following up on orders in case of delays
- Updating inventory:Updating inventory management systems and company inventories
- Inspecting items:Inspecting items received to ensure quality and accuracy
- Managing invoices: Handling and documenting invoices
- Identifying bottlenecks:Identifying any bottlenecks in the process
- Managing returns:Managing and returning wrong shipments
- Maintaining records:Maintaining warehouse inventory records and keeping detailed records of shortages and spares of items
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
This will involve sets of daily tasks to be undertaken in a range of duties such as; managerial support to the shift managers and warehouse manager, dealing with all aspects of Warehouse duties, including ; receiving shipments,signing paperwork and unloading of packages from trucks, Tracking shipments and following up on orders in case of delays, Assigning tasks, training new staff, and disciplining staff when necessary.
Oracle WMS System and whilst adhering to the Business' ISO/Quality framework.
Maintaining a safe working environment, conducting health and safety audits, and ensuring equipment is properly maintained, liaising with warehouse staff,.
Working with other departments to streamline warehouse activities and improve efficiency where possible.
