Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership based in Denbigh Regional Stores, North Wales on a permanent basis.
The successful applicant will work with the current management team in the Stores to provide efficient pick, pack and delivery services to the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, Powys Teaching Health Board and Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership Procurement Services, Supply Chain, Logistics & Transport Team function. This will be to oversee the management of stock within Denbigh Stores and the external Warehouse.
The successful applicants will have previous experience working in a similar capacity, specifically Warehousing/Customer Service organisation, the ordering of goods and stock control. An excellent understanding of Health & Safety is also essential for these roles.
The post holder will work closely with the wider management team to ensure that stock is managed effectively and in line with Organisational operational policies and procedures. Whilst providing supervisory cover for the team and undertaking operational responsibilities as required, the roles will cover but will not be limited to the additional tasks below:
o Ensure sufficient stock levels are held within the Stores to meet the needs of the customer whilst reducing obsolescence and wasteo The role will entail building up a sound knowledge of the monthly Stores Movement and Stock Adjustment reports to assist the Shift/Warehouse Manager to maintain correct stock levelso Physical stock takes of goods held in each Warehouse
