We are recruiting an Assistant Diagnostic Imaging Advisor to join the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership team (Specialist Estate Services) to provide specialist advice and focused support for the planning and delivery of the All-Wales Diagnostic Equipment Programme for medical device imaging equipment in conjunction with NHS Wales organisations and on behalf of Welsh Government (WG).
The role focuses on the procurement, delivery and installation of specialist equipment and associated services; the provision of support for the Procurement Management for Specialist Clinical Imaging and Diagnostic Equipment; and ensuring alignment with the National Diagnostic Clinical Model and all associated Technical Standards.
Your role willinitially be based at Companies House, until we relocate to our new base in early 2024 to CP2, Welsh Government Offices, King Edward VII Avenue Cardiff CF10 3NQ
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for providing specialist advice and focused support for the planning and delivery of the All-Wales Diagnostic Equipment Programme for medical device imaging equipment in conjunction with NHS Wales organisations and on behalf of Welsh Government (WG).
The role includes the management of a designated portfolio of projects focusing on the procurement, delivery and installation of specialist equipment and associated services; the provision of support for the Procurement Management for Specialist Clinical Imaging and Diagnostic Equipment; and ensuring alignment of support activities with the National Diagnostic Clinical Model and all associated Technical Standards. Whilst the post holder supports the National Imaging Programme Manager in delivering the national medical device imaging procurement programmes the individual will be accountable for own professional actions and will act independently as the lead imaging procurement specialist on defined projects/programmes.
