You'll use agile practices to support efficient delivery, communicate complex findings in a clear way, and help shape improvements that impact both local services and the wider directorate.

We're seeking someone with a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, a good understanding of programming, and a proactive, adaptable mindset.

If you're passionate about technology and eager to help drive innovation in healthcare services, we'd love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

As a Test Engineer Level 2, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain test scripts and models, ensuring quality and reliability across systems and services.

  • Execute functional and non-functional test scenarios, identifying and raising defects to support continuous improvement.

  • Apply appropriate tools, techniques, and agile methods to plan, analyse, test, and enhance digital products and services.

  • Use data and user research findings to support informed decision-making and improvements.

  • Contribute to delivery improvements and help overcome barriers to create positive change.

  • Communicate findings clearly, present complex information in accessible ways, and manage stakeholder relationships.

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to junior colleagues, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.

  • Support implementation of policies, manage requirements within scope, and deliver outputs as part of project teams.

  • Take responsibility for your own work and behaviour, managing risk and ensuring high-quality outcomes.

  • Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in a hybrid working environment.
