Job summary

As a Data Analyst Level 3, your approachwill be flexible and innovative. You will already have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.

You will be expected to:

  • Provide analytical, modelling and data management support in relation tovarious areas of work.

  • Respond to information requests to develop dashboards, ensuring that a detailed specification is received and reviewed in collaboration with the requester.

  • Engage with all teams across the organisation to meet their needs in support ofvarious areas of work, quality assurance, best practice, and maintenance.

  • Have proven IT skills in an analytical capacity, including good working knowledge of relational databases and information systems with data retrieval skills using software packages, such as SQL and Power BI.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Educated to post-graduate level or equivalent specialist knowledge and experience.
  • Degree qualification or equivalent

Desirable

  • Knowledge of NHS Wales or the Health sector
  • Applied knowledge of visualisation software such as Microsoft Excel, PowerBi, dashboards for multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience of working successfully in a complex organisation with good written and verbal communication skills whilst forging effective relationships with both stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience of computing languages to underpin data analysis, implementation
  • Experience of project management methodologies, including tools and techniques
  • Experience of using statistical methods and data analysis. Understand how and when to practically apply existing best practice solutions.
  • Experience of working with customers and stakeholders and providing a high-quality service.
  • Proven experience of design, investigating, analysing, interpreting, visualising and articulating multiple data streams in order to consolidate into a centralised, prioritised and modern reporting function
  • Demonstrable experience of designing and delivering data and performance reporting solutions by examining process flows and business user needs, which support improvements in operational performance.
  • Proven experience of successful collaboration with senior and specialist internal and external stakeholders to build relationships and communicate complex data and insights effectively to deliver end to end people data solutions that meet user needs including interpreting and visualising information in a clear and concise manner
  • In-depth experience of using data and business analysis software/tools, including substantial PowerBi, SharePoint and Excel knowledge
