ESR and People Analytics Lead

Job summary

We're looking for a talented and forward-thinking ESR and People Analytics Lead to join the People & OD Directorate to drive the development, delivery, and evolution of our workforce systems and analytics capabilities.

This is a pivotal role in supporting the organisation's long-term vision and People Strategy, through the provision of insightful, accurate, and strategic workforce information.

You'll manage the ESR system and lead the implementation of the future NHS Workforce Solution. You'll also help drive the automation and digitalisation of people processes across the employee lifecycle.

Working closely with the Head of People Services, you will manage a small analytics team,fostering a culture of collaboration, compassion, and continuous improvement. You'll champion data-led decision-making and support the delivery of excellence across workforce planning, board reporting, and strategic workforce development.

Main duties of the job

As the ESR and People Analytics Lead, you will:

o Lead the operational management, security, development and strategic planning of our workforce systems - with a particular focus on the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) and its interfaces which will migrate to the NHS Future Workforce Solution system.

o Provide expert advice on the future vision and roadmap for ESR within DHCW, working closely with senior leaders.

o Partner with the Head of People Services and Head of Strategic Business Partnering to deliver data-driven people insights and analysis that inform workforce plans, board reports and wider organisational strategy.

o Coordinate the production of high-quality, insightful workforce data and reporting across the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and strategic relevance.

o Support the development and continual improvement of HR and OD systems to streamline processes and enable automation, analytics and improved performance organisation-wide.
