This is a unique and impactful opportunity to join Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) in a pivotal Engagement & Partnerships role with a focus on system wide engagement and collaboration. The postholder will support key DHCW Strategies, working with NHS Wales and partners. The role will have a particular focus leading initiatives in the area of inclusive leadership and digital talent development, including the NHS Wales Women's Digital Leaders Initiative.
Main duties of the job
You will lead the design and delivery of initiatives that support inclusive leadership and digital talent development, with a particular focus on the NHS Wales Women's Digital Leaders Initiative. You will be responsible for developing a detailed workplan that includes clear deliverables, timelines, and success measures. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure all activities are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with national digital transformation goals. You will facilitate engagement activities such as workshops, panels, and forums, and promote the use of the Welsh language. You will analyse performance data, prepare reports for senior audiences, and drive continuous improvement. You will also manage stakeholder relationships, support budget planning, and lead communications in partnership with the corporate communications team.

- Educated to Masters Degree level or equivalent experience, with practical knowledge and experience relevant to stakeholder engagement, and/or project management.
- Highly developed in-depth specialist knowledge and experience of engagement techniques, approaches, and procedures, and developing initiatives that deliver measured impact across organisational boundaries.
- Knowledge of relevant tools and techniques for engagement, including traditional, innovative, and online/digital methods.
- Strong understanding of talent development programmes and inclusive leadership principles and their application in organisational settings.
Desirable
- Knowledge of the NHS, other healthcare systems, or the health sector, including regional or national variations.
- Knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and governance frameworks.
Experience
Essential
- Proven track record in developing and delivering leadership and/or inclusion initiatives to drive change
- Confident and experienced in developing a collaborative approach, dealing with competing priorities and negotiating and influencing to drive successful outcomes.
- Proven ability to work strategically and align initiatives with organisational goals
- Experience in drafting briefings, business cases, and correspondence for senior audiences for example Executive Directors.
- Proven experience of working with and leading teams across departments and organisational boundaries to drive and deliver outcomes
