Main duties of the job
About the Role:
As the Assistant Director of Planning, you willbe responsible for leading the strategic planning and portfolio management functions within DHCW. You will work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans that align with our organisational goals. Your role will involve overseeing the portfolio management process, ensuring that our projects and initiatives are effectively managed and delivered on time. You will be the professional lead for our Planning and Portfolio Management framework covering strategic, operational and emergency planning functions.

We work in partnership with NHS Wales colleagues and other key stakeholders to provide national digital and data services which support the delivery of health and social care in Wales. In addition, DHCW provides expert advice in relation to cyber security and information governance. We give frontline staff the digital tools which help them provide safer and more efficient care.
