Job summary
We are recruiting an enthusiastic, motivated and proactive individual to join the Corporate Services team as an Estates Officer at our Cardiff office.
The successful candidate will be required to work within a busy and varied working environment, assisting the Estates and Compliance Manager to effectively manage the Digital Health and Care Wales estate.
While doing so, we will provide you the opportunity to improve your skills by contributing to your Personal Development Plan (PDP).
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Assist the Estates and Compliance Manager, acting as a point of contact for all accommodation issues ensuring the effective management of the DHCW estate.
Assist the Estates and Compliance Manager and be responsible for gathering all information when issuing Tenders within DHCW.
Assist the Estates and Compliance Manager on a daily basis, providing administrative management assistance.
Develop and maintain DHCWs Water quality monitoring regime in accordance with the DHCW Water Safety Policy.
Manage and ensure statutory compliance of all engineering systems within the building i.e. fire alarm systems, security systems, air conditioning systems etc.
Ensure the compliance of internal and external audits and inspections in relation to ISO audits, asbestos surveys, health and safety assessments, fire and water risk assessments etc.
Develop and issue Estates and Compliance notifications/bulletins for DHCW and update relevant departmental pages.

- Be educated to a NVQ level 3 or equivalent knowledge and experience in an NHS Estates working environment.
- Possess a full range of administrative knowledge and advanced use of various IT packages [including databases and excel worksheets]
- Hold an ILM Legionella Risk Management - Responsible Persons' Training Certificate.
- Possess experience with the Oracle Purchasing System.
- Good Knowledge of Waste, Environment, Health & Safety, Water Safety and COSHH Regulations.
- Sound knowledge of Procurement routes and processes within an NHS Environment.
Desirable
- Registered with a relevant informatics professional body
- Possess training or relevant experience with DATIX software
