The Digital Change Delivery Network (DCDN) is a newly funded programme designed to increase capability to drive forward digital change and transformation. Its goal is to revolutionise the way systems are deployed across NHS Wales.

A network of broadly skilled, qualified Business Change practitioners will create best practice in the deployment of digital services that will transform the way citizens receive care.

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity foran enthusiastic Service Events and Business Coordinator to provide a highly efficient, professional, and confidential service to support the delivery of workstream deliverables within the Digital Change Digital Network (DCDN).

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have:

Demonstrable expertise in a full range of administrative and organisational policies and procedures.

The capability to organise their own workload efficiently using initiative where appropriate and can judge the importance of information and to respond appropriately.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in all written and verbal contact, using negotiation and persuasive skills as required.

The ability to disseminate complex information in an accessible and appropriate manner.

The postholder liaise with DHCW stakeholders / Senior NHS Managers / Clinical Staff / Special Health Authority Directorates & Departments / external organisations / Senior Civil Servants / members of the public, ensuring that this is undertaken in a courteous manner at all times.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential

  • Degree or Equivalent experience Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e.,Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Knowledge & understanding of working at Board/Executive Director level
  • Prince 2 training (formal or informal, or willing to work towards attainment)

Desirable

  • Advanced ECDL
  • Evidence of further study and personal development
  • RSA Stage III (or equivalent)

Experience

Essential

  • Significant experience of working within a busy and high-profile environment working with complex issues with competing priorities and workloads
  • Significant experience in timely collation and compiling of agendas and papers and information to allow reports/presentations to be quality assured, finalised and submitted within required deadlines.
  • Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects, e.g. PRINCE2

Desirable

  • Experience of recording and monitoring financial information
  • Experience and understanding of information management and technology issues within the healthcare environment
  • Experience and understanding of change and configuration management, and information management and technology issues within the within the project environment
