Job summary
The pharmacy services of the RFL group aim to provide high quality, safe and efficient outpatient pharmacy services across multiple sites, to all patients and users of the service. We place value in improving patient experience of pharmacy services, offering choice and innovation. The pharmacy services of the RFL Dispensary Services are owned by the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and any profits made are reinvested into new services for the Trust's patients and services. Currently the out-patient pharmacies in Chase Farm and Royal Free Hospital sites operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of the RFL Group.
As well as dispensing outpatient prescriptions at CFH and RFH, the pharmacy services of the RFL group will offer over-the-counter and Pharmacy Only medicines for sale, alongside expert professional advice from friendly pharmacists and staff.. The vision is to become a recognised leading provider of pharmaceutical care to patients, hospital staff and the local community.
The post holder will work in closely with the Superintendent Pharmacist and act as a deputy in their absence where necessary. The post holder with be part of a small high performing team that is expected to demonstrate behaviours that promote the service and the Royal Free London's World Class Care values.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities are:-
To act as site lead for Chase Farm site
Deliver the RFL Dispensary Services (RFLDS) strategy
Investigate and analyse incidents, identify and mitigate emerging risks
Support in delivery of Key Performance Indicators and adherence to the Service Level Agreement (SLA) held with Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and other customers.
Support delivery of the workforce strategy to ensure continued levels of safe and competent staffing.
Ensure both sites maintains standards such that it remains a GPhC registered dispensary.
To ensure the safe, efficient and effective delivery of all aspects of the outpatient pharmacy services, in accordance with national and local standards
To be a member of the appropriate Boards and committees for pharmacy services
