Competitive salary: £46,148 - £52,809 DOE
Generous annual leave entitlement:Standard 25 days + 8 bank holidays, increasing with service up to 33 days + 8 bank holidays. Pro Rata/ Per Annum
Main duties of the job
DHU is seeking a qualified and commercially astute Finance Business Partner to provide strong financial and business support across our Business Units. This role will play a critical part in aligning financial insight with strategic and operational goals, driving performance, and ensuring financial best practice.
You'll combine technical expertise with excellent communication and leadership skills to partner with operational teams, influence decision-making, and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and financial outcomes.

Job responsibilities
- Preparation and analysis of monthly / quarterly / yearly Business Unit financial reports maintaining the highest quality, reliability and accuracy. Ensuring readability to non-financial stakeholders
- Report on detailed cost analysis working towards improving supplier management across the organisation.
- Work with the Business Units and wider finance team to produce quarterly forecasts and 13-year budgets / business plans.
- Support the Business Unit growth opportunities by developing and reviewing costing and operational model.
- Work with the Head of Financial Services and wider finance team to develop month end procedures in accordance with month end timetables.
- Developing robust financial controls, improving systems and processes and increasing efficiency. Provide calculations and progress MEPs (Margin Enhancement Programme). Provide calculations and methodology for SLR apportionment.
- Track CAPEX spend across the organisation and provide monthly reporting on CAPEX project progression and spend.
- Deputise for the Head of Finance, Head of Financial Services and Finance Director at Divisional meetings when required.
- Support and provide guidance, direction and coaching to the Transactional Finance Team.
- Coordinate with various departments for both month end processes as well as day to day operations.
- Preparation of ad-hoc reports/information as required by the business

- Formal accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent.
- Solid Management Accounting background.
- Excellent Commercial awareness & Business Acumen.
- Experience of working in a healthcare or similar administrative environment.
- Excellent IT skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate data to produce informative reports.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and high proficiency in Excel and Word.
