As a 111 Staff Engagement Officer, you will perform an essential role in liaising between our dedicated Health Advisors and the Management Team to find out what our teams want, need and feel, bringing in initiatives that will maximise DHU111s potential. Based in Oldbury, you will be the first port of call for mental health improvement, morale boosting campaigns, stories and activities and bringing suggestions and concerns back to the management.

Main duties of the job

Key Areas of Responsibility & Accountability

  • Work with DHU communications, DHU 111 management teams to achieve desired goals
  • Establish yearly programme's, splitting events by division
  • Responsible for generating weekly, monthly, quarterly activities
  • Responsible for planning activities including purchasing any items required
  • Arrange and attend/participate in meetings as required
  • To track and monitor retention
  • To support and review exit interviews
  • Provide detailed reviews for areas of improvement to support retention
  • Support and lead teams to implement changes within the workplace
  • Engage the workforce and maintain good relations
  • Establish and track yearly budget
  • Establish rules and regulations on events/games
  • Generate ideas to improve staff welfare and morale
  • Generate surveys and feed findings to DHU management team
  • Identify and anticipate issues with appropriate escalation
  • Lead and promote on changes that support engagement and retention

  • Purchasing experiencing
  • An understanding of national and social events
  • Evidence of being able to manage own workload and prioritise
  • Evidence of being able to achieve multiple deadlines
  • Experience in motivating teams and communicating with large audiences
  • Ability to manage change
  • Experience in leading projects is desirable
