Join our dedicated team in NHSBT organ donation and transplantation. Youll be part of a programme team at the forefront of organ transplantation projects, ultimately saving and improving lives.
The establishment of a national Assessment and Recovery Centre (ARC) service will extend equitable access to life-saving products and treatments to everyone that needs them and bridge the gap between shortage of organs available and demand.
You will contribute to life-saving work, where every day promises diversity and excitement managing critical programmes aimed at enhancing organ donation and transplantation services.
As the Senior Delivery Lead, you will be accountable for the effective delivery of complex, high-risk and profile technology products and services within the OTDT product centre. You will be leading organisational delivery management using strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to engage and manage a wide range of senior stakeholders.
Main duties of the job
You will possess a depth and breadth of experience across a range of products and services, throughout the entire product and service delivery lifecycle and will have a large accountability within the product centre as the main point of escalation of any delivery issues. Acting as a leader, coach and mentor for delivery leads and associate delivery leads within the team as well as have a degree of budget accountability associated with their delegated authority.
You will be accountable for:
- Leading the delivery management capability within the organisation enabling the product centre plan and deliver all change.
- Ensuring that the capture, priority, approval, scheduling, scope, definition, design and delivery of planned change meets customer needs.
- Driving delivery to support the successful operation and continuous improvement of the service.
- Leading, coaching and providing guidance and standards for delivery leads and supporting product managers.
- Supporting and where required deputising for the Head of Product Centre, lead the delivery of products and services with accountability to the value of c. £2m.
- Establishing standards of agile practices for the agile Delivery Lead and Product Management community, continuously improve the agile methods and tools used by the community.
- Contributing to the wider community of practice.
