Job summary
The role of the Transplant Collaborative Clinical Lead is to provide leadership to the regional transplant collaboratives, focusing on increased inter-unit collaboration and quality improvement initiatives ensuring equity of access and best outcomes for all recipients.
The Transplant Collaborative Clinical Lead will develop and lead the national transplant collaboratives strategy and workplan.
As the Transplant Collaborative Clinical Lead, you will play a key role in the delivery of our strategy Organ Donation and Transplantation 2030: Meeting the Need.
Working alongside National and International leaders in the field of Donation and Transplantation you will be an integral member of the OTDT Clinical Team.
Note: The annual salary ranges from £105,504 to £139,882, prorated based on your agreed PAs and calculated by your substantive employer according to relevant experience, with payment made by NHSBT accordingly.
Main duties of the job
The Transplant Collaborative Clinical Lead will provide leadership to the regional transplant collaboratives, focusing on increased inter-unit collaboration and quality improvement initiatives. The Transplant Collaborative Clinical Lead will develop and lead the national transplant collaboratives strategy and workplan. The Transplant Collaborative Clinical Lead will be a member of the Organ & Tissue Donation & Transplantation (OTDT) Clinical Team, reporting to the Clinical Steering Group and will participate in relevant workstreams reporting into the OTDT Medical Director. Each regional collaborative is led by a chair and deputy chair who guide a steering group of local healthcare professionals to deliver region-specific workplans. As a key recommendation of the Organ Utilisation Group (OUG) February 2023 report, honouring the gift of donation.
