  • This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to learn hands-on skills in healthcare and take their first steps into a professional career with the NHS. Youll be fully trained in how to take blood from our donors, and youll be their first point of care during their time with us.
  • Youll also make sure we keep accurate records of donor sessions, while managing the safe handling of blood products, needles and other medical equipment.
  • As part of a true multi-disciplinary team, youll work variable hours and days including evenings, weekends and bank holidays - without night shifts.
  • You will be working on a shift basis but, the normal hours for this role are 3days per week/ 6days per fortnight. Early shifts start at 08:00 AM and finish 17:00 PM. Late shifts start at 10:30 AM and finish 19:30 PM, this will be 8.33 hour days.
  • Youll also be working alongside medical professionals, which means youll discover more autonomy and responsibility than equivalent roles elsewhere in the NHS.
