Job summary
Join our dedicated team in NHSBT organ donation and transplantation. Youll be part of a programme team at the forefront of organ transplantation projects, ultimately saving and improving lives. The establishment of a national Assessment and Recovery Centre (ARC) service will extend equitable access to life-saving products and treatments to everyone that needs them and bridge the gap between shortage of organs available and demand. You will have an innovative, problem-solving approach, with strong stakeholder management skills and experience in implementing risk management and governance processes. Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to establishing the Assessment and Recovery Centres (ARC) that will deliver improvements to the UKs organ utilisation program, by improving the assessment of extended criteria liver grafts donated, develop reconditioning protocols and ultimately increase the number of liver transplants annually. As Clinical Lead the successful candidate will be a member of the ARC Clinical Steering Group and will participate in relevant workstreams reporting into the ARCs Programme Board. Accordingly, the ARC Clinical Lead will be expected to contribute to the ARC implementation plan, underpinned by our focus on patient experience, environmental sustainability, innovation, collaboration, and equity of access.
