Job summary
This is an exciting role at the heart of the Direct Marketing team, making sure that we select the best channel to communicate with our donors to ensure that NHSBT is always able to offer hospital patients the blood they need. Youll have the opportunity to become an expert in the organisations marketing orchestration tool and use that expertise to help drive improvements in the way we communicate with donors. This is a fantastically varied role, that will suit someone with a strong attention to detail and the ability to quickly grasp complex information and concisely communicate that information to colleagues. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement; however, you will be assigned a base location, which may be Barnsley Centre, Bristol Filton, Birmingham, Tooting, Colindale, or Manchester. Travel may be required in line with business needs. The base location will be confirmed following the final interview and mutually agreed upon between you and the line manager during the verbal offer stage.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will be responsible for contributing to the effective management of a range of Direct Marketing programmes and will have the opportunity to input into future direct marketing strategies. Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting in a consultative role to any of these stakeholders and make an authoritative assessment of requests to change and/or extend direct marketing activity. As the Direct Marketing department interfaces with a number of functional areas across NHSBT. There are also important interfaces with a range of key external service providers.
- Understands the rationale for all direct mail marketing activities, the technical requirements relating to the respective delivery channels, and has the ability to evaluate each activity and use outcomes to drive future investment decisions.
- Day-to-day tasks include creation, testing and reviewing of direct marketing communications using the organisations marketing automation tool, submitting design briefs to internal/external stakeholders, providing analytical reports for DM campaigns to better inform the organisation of future campaign strategies, stock management of DM related materials, day to day line management of channel assistants.
You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice
