It takes all types of people to make a successful team, and we are embarking on an exciting transformation this year to change how we deliver recruitment services across NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT). We are seeking highly motivated and Recruitment Coordinators to join our team.

As a key player in our new approach to recruitment, you will play a critical role in ensuring its success. We are looking for people with proven administration and customer care skills, and a passion for inclusion. Please be advised that this role will be based at Barnsley Blood Centre, South Yorkshire.

Main duties of the job

Your responsibilities will include:-

  • Delivering a recruitment service for all post and apply and volume/cohort vacancies
  • Delivering end to end recruitment administration for your own allocated vacancies using our Applicant Tracking System (known as E-Recruitment) and Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system
  • Providing recruitment specialist advice, working with hiring managers to provide a tailored recruitment service, using E-Recruitment, to meet the customers need and achieve a successful outcome
  • Engaging with candidates to ensure the best possible recruitment experience as their first contact with NHSBT
  • Liaising with the Recruiter for Brand and Attraction to ensure the appropriate promotion of vacancies

Job description

Job responsibilities

This role will provide you with excellent experience in the field of HR recruitment for a diverse spectrum of roles and specialisms including Nurses, Scientists and Doctors as well as Administrative and Managerial roles across the whole of the UK.

You will act as first point of contact for advising managers in all aspects of the recruitment processes, including NHSBTs policies and procedures (e.g. Equality and Diversity, Data Protection etc.) and the use of selection methods (e.g. tests, tours, group exercises, psychometric testing etc.).

  • Hybrid working style (joint office and home working once trained).
