Job summary
Hub Operations is a unique department which is key to the successful organ donation process. We operate to match and allocate donor organs for the UK and Republic of Ireland. Dealing with consultants, Recipient Coordinators and Specialist Nurses across the Country. As a Hub Operations Shift Manager, you will be working with a team of Organ Allocation Specialist to provide a 24/7 effective, efficient, accurate and reliable service to our stakeholders. You will be responsible for managing, monitoring and developing the team, and managing the shift to ensure correct process is followed. This is also a logistical role to ensure retrieval teams are available for donations to proceed. You will also undertake other managerial and supervisory tasks as required to support and maintain the service provision to the agreed standards.
Main duties of the job
The Hub Operations team to provide an effective, efficient, accurate and reliable 24/7 organ matching, allocation and distribution service for the UK and Republic of Ireland. As Hub Operations Shift Manager you will train, monitor and support the Hub Operations Team to achieve this You will develop and maintain knowledge of all key Hub Operations operational policies and procedures to enable effective staff training in these and ability to evaluate performance against them You will act as a role model, leading by example through setting and communicating professional standards and expectations in order to develop and cultivate a customer focussed and supportive culture within the team leading to a continuous improvement of service You will contribute to the development of new and existing processes and procedures by participating in the definition of service requirements and implementation of these by providing task based staff training and documentation. You will be required to participate in an on-call out of hours rota which may include evening, weekend or public holiday working, providing 24/7 support for the Hub Operations.
